A Beginning Forged in Friendship
Girls Give Back didn’t start as an organization. It started with a genuine friendship and a shared refusal to accept the status quo.
Michelle and Jessica built a close bond while working in the insurance industry, grounded in trust, honesty, and a common understanding of the challenges women face. Through countless conversations, they kept coming back to the same conclusion: talented, driven women were showing up every day without consistent access to mentorship, visibility, or real support. Instead of accepting that reality, they decided to challenge it together.
In 2022, they put that decision into action with the first Women in Insurance Walk. Twenty-one women showed up. It was small, informal, and powerful enough to prove one thing clearly: this wasn’t a one-time event. The following year, participation grew to more than 170 women, confirming what they already knew - women were ready to connect, give back, and build something meaningful together.
That momentum demanded more than a single moment. What began as a walk became a platform for action - bringing women together to turn shared experience into real support for education, mentorship, and opportunity. Every event, conversation, and partnership builds on the same idea: relationships matter most when they lead to something tangible.
This work is rooted in lived experience. Michelle and Jessica have navigated the same barriers many women still face in professional environments, especially in insurance. Girls Give Back is their response - practical, intentional, and focused on creating access where it actually counts.
At its core, Girls Give Back is simple: women coming together, supporting one another, and using their momentum to open doors for the next generation. Together, that momentum is driving a growing movement with the reach, resources, and resolve to create lasting opportunity for generations of women to come - and we’re just getting started.

We create access to education, guidance, and resources so girls and young women can lead with confidence, contribute meaningfully, and give back in ways that strengthen their communities.
We are building a future where female leadership is visible, valued, and expected — not exceptional. By connecting accomplished women with the next generation, we work to remove barriers, expand opportunity, and create pathways that make leadership attainable across industries and backgrounds.
Our vision is generational in scale: a growing network of women who lift as they lead, challenge outdated norms, and use their influence to create lasting, measurable change. When women are empowered to succeed and support one another, equity stops being an aspiration and becomes the standard.
