Step Forward. Stand Strong. Inspire Change.

Proudly presenting the 5th Annual Women in Insurance Walk at the 2026 PLRB Claims Conference. Just minutes from our nation's capital, this year’s walk is about inspiration in action – the kind driven by leadership, resilience, and a commitment to making a difference.

March 24th, 2026

This year’s walk is a call to action – to come together, give back, and make an impact that lasts beyond the event itself. All funds raised beyond event expenses will support The Spencer Educational Foundation, and The Altadena Girls, helping open doors and create opportunities for the next generation.

Join us as we walk with intention, strength, and unity – inspiring progress within our industry and beyond.

The Women In Insurance Walk is more than an event – it’s a movement. Walking alongside so many passionate and driven individuals reminded me of the incredible strength and unity within our industry. This isn’t just about showing up; it’s about standing together to create change, build meaningful connections, and leave a lasting impact on the causes we support. The energy and purpose of this walk fueled my drive to do more, and I left inspired to bring that same passion back to my work and my community. This is the kind of event that changes lives – including my own.

The Women In Insurance Walk has become the must-attend event at PLRB, and for good reason. It’s not just a walk – it’s a celebration of our industry’s strength, passion, and potential to make a real difference. The energy is electric, the connections are genuine, and the feeling of coming together for a shared purpose is unforgettable. This event empowers us to be better as individuals and as an industry, showing what we can achieve when we support and uplift one another. Year after year, this is the event everyone talks about – and it’s the one we can’t wait to join again!

Meet the GGB Founders

It all started when two women met in the insurance industry and developed an instant bond, becoming best friends and now call each other family. These amazing women, with similar yet unique experiences and backgrounds, quickly strengthened their friendship and began dreaming about their common goal: to empower and support women to achieve their full potential. They were determined to create positive change and decided to take action.

In 2021, Michelle and Jessica launched the first Women's Walk with 21 participants in the insurance industry, recruiting colleagues and clients to join their cause. They started by hosting informal gatherings centered around the event, leveraging their networks and expertise to provide guidance and support to other colleagues and friends who wanted to help, grow, and make a difference in others' lives through leadership and mentorship programs.

These women were inspired by personal experiences and observations of the challenges and barriers that many girls face in their community. They were determined to create positive change and took action.
